A MAN'S RIGHT

Here I will post thoughts for the week that will make you think. You can comment on them, too.

A MAN'S RIGHT

Postby noreenannjenkins on Fri Jan 25, 2008 4:50 am

Let's say a pregnant woman wants an abortion but her boyfriend or husband says no. Shouldn't he has a say so, too ? Remember it takes two to have a baby. What about a man's right ? This is something to think about.
What are your thoughts on it ? Do you agree or disagree ? Why or why not?

He absolutely has a say. It could either way, however put their relationship at risk. Although women have freedom of choice, it's not so easy for the man as we all know. It's almost a catch 22. The man, providing he really wants this child can claim all rights and start custody proceedings while in-uterine in some states preventing the mother from having an abortion. Basically the man is claiming custody of the fetus. As I said before this could cause conflict in their relationship but on the positive side he will be saving a life and the court has ruled in the man's favor remarkably.
